Hoo-Hoo-Hoo Hoosiers!

You may have noticed that I’m a bit of a sports fanatic. Well, I come by it honestly, as I grew up in a sports-loving family. I went to my first Indiana Hoosiers basketball game when I was 6 months old, and have pretty much consistently been going ever since. Tonight was my first game of the 2010-11 season, and boy were our seats spectacular!

My brother-in-law managed to snag them from his work and they were better than any seat i had as a student or as a university employee. It was a super fun way to see a game!

And really fun to get to go with some of my family. Living in Bloomington, going to games is pretty much old hat for the Babyface and I, but it is a special treat to have my Dad, sister, brother-in-law and niece in Assembly Hall.

Before the game, I had a glorious, delicious hot dog. It was really spectacular. I know as a healthy living blogger, I’m supposed to be morally opposed to hot dogs and express my disgust, but I love them. As every sports fan should. Seriously, no vegetable can ever stand up to a really good chili dog, ya heard?

See. Awesome seats.

We enjoyed the…surprisingly even-matched first half.

Halftime snack was a smuggled in granola bar (5 minute style, per Anne P.)

The second half was a whole lot more like it, and the Hoosiers ended up pulling away to win by 17. Woohoo!

The game was fun, but my favorite part of being so close was getting to see Coach Crean in action. You can really tell how much he loves what he does. We are so lucky to have him. He totally “get’s it”.

Now we are home. I just had a plate of mac and cheese. And I plan on eating pretty much nothing but veggies tomorrow. My body is desperately craving some attention of the vitamin and nutrient variety. Back to your regularly scheduled blogging, tomorrow. I promise there isn’t a dinner of Peanut Butter Puffins or hot dogs on the docket.

Good night, friends!

Don’t feel badly about eating a hot dog. Why?

Because last night after an awful day and way too much wine, I ate half a pizza. A large pizza. Yeah. And I’m totally fine with it.

We all need it on those rare occasions ๐Ÿ˜‰
