monday motivation: goals
Stop letting all the “I wants” just float around in your head and put pencil to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and make your goals real. Right now, drop what you are doing and take 5 minutes to write down your goals for the week. They don’t need to be big or life-changing, but keep in mind that small choices add up to big changes. Make sure do be specific! Give actual numbers and results. Write down exactly what you want to accomplish this week. Here are my goals:
- Drink 100 ounces of water a day. I’ve somehow gotten out of the habit of keeping hydrated. I’ve switched to my CamelBak Groove to try something new. Hopefully the bite-valve and straw will help me slam some more H20.
- Run at least once. I haven’t run since my half marathon. It is time to get back on the wagon. And guess what? No pressure. No race to train for. No mileage I have to hit. Just some good ole frolicking down the trail until I decide it is time to stop.
- Plant my garden. I’ve been trying to find time to get our garden planted for weeks. Whenever I get a chance it is either raining or I am too exhausted. The plants MUST go into the ground this week.
Your turn.

GREAT Monday motivation, and definitely something I need to do RIGHT NOW.
I have found that I drink a LOT less water when I drink out of the bite valve bottles. I much prefer my nalgene bottles, the water just seems to flow into me. I fill 2 large bottles in the morning, which when filled to the top are 40 ounces each. I try to make that my minimum for the day. Hope you have a great Monday!
