1. I wipe extra lip gloss/lipstick/lip balm off of my fingers and onto the bottom of my seat when driving in the car. I’m not even sure Babyface knows I do this.

2. I’m terrified of the squat rack at the gym. Heavy weight plates + equipment with no instructions = intimidated Cass.

3. All of my pajama pants are too short for me. Do not like. #firstworldproblems

4.ย  I’ve already started writing down my new year’s resolutions for 2012. What can I say? I’m a total goalaholic.

5. I caved and listened to the Michael Buble Christmas album twice already. But I put a stop to the insanity and vow to not listen to Christmas music again until the day after Thanksgiving. I’m trying desperately to ignore the fact that the She & Him Christmas album came out last week. DO WANT.

Confession: For 2011, a friend of mine and I had an agreement: on the 1st of every month, we provided the other with a “how are you doing on your resolutions” update. Thanks to that accountability, I truly focused on what mattered. I, too, have my 2012 Focus Items (I don’t call them resolutions because it’s about progress, not beating myself up) drafted. I’ve been slowly editing them as my priorities change. And truly? For the first time in awhile, I’m looking forward to seeing the ball drop because I’m going to ROCK 2012.

That is AWESOME! So many people forget their yearly goals by February. The blog has helped me so much with that. I have to say, out of the 11 goals I made for 2011, at least 9 of them are on track to being a total success. Woohoo!
      Here’s to rockin’ 2012!

I must confess that the She and Him Christmas album is really, really good. I would know since I’ve listened to it quite a few times since it came out. The worst part is that I don’t even celebrate Christmas, but I can’t help but love Christmas music, Christmas trees, Christmas lights and just about everything else related to Christmas.

    • Cassie says

I don’t really celebrate the religious part of Christmas, either. I just love the lights and spirit and festivity and family and friends. It’s a happy season and that makes me happy.
And you people are killing me with the She&Him! MUST STAY STRONG.

I maybe sorta already got She&Him Christmas and maybe sorta listened a couple times already. Maybe! Hehe. Trader Joe’s was rocking the Christmas tunes last night.

I just used the squat rack for the first time this morning! I was intimated by it, but I recruited a big burly guy to spot me and it was fine!! (Feeling the burn in my booty = awesome)

“#firstworldproblems” hahahaha thank you for staring my morning with a laugh.

Also, I couldn’t resist opening Michael’s CD. I held myself to three songs and now it’s off limits til Black Friday! I’ll enjoy it again at 2 am when driving to the stores :)

    • Cassie says

Yay! So proud of you for using the squat rack. Maybe I’ll have Babyface come with me this weekend and we can conquer it together. Normally the weight room is dead on Sunday mornings.

I wish there were a couple “peppier” songs on the record but overall I really like it. It makes me want to drink coffee and Bailey’s by a fire watching it snow.

Oh, girl. I do the same thing with lipstick on the bottom/side of my car seat.

And I play Christmas music year round. YEAR ROUND. I can’t help it. Also, how did I not know Zoey Deschanel was in a mothereffing band? Not even right. The She & Him Christmas album ROCKS. Embrace it.

    • Cassie says

I used to listen to Christmas music year round but I think it might be “ruining” the season for me. It’s like, if everyday was your birthday, it wouldn’t be special, you know? I’m trying to hold out this year!

  7. Shauna says

Okay, just looked up She & Him. THANKS A LOT. ๐Ÿ˜€ LOVE.

I’ve promised no Christmas DECORATIONS until after Ty’s birthday (American Thanksgiving), but I have been listening to Christmas music for the past two days. :) Halloween is over, we’ve already had Thanksgiving. Bring on Christmas!
